FRISK Software International, is an Icelandic software company that develops F-Prot antivirus and F-Prot AVES antivirus and antispam service. Its name is derived from the initial letters of the personal name and patronymic of Friðrik Skúlason, its founder. F-Prot Antivirus is one of the oldest AntiVirus product (produced since 1989) and the world's first with a heuristic engine. F-Prot Antivirus, the Antivirus product by FRISK Software International, is available in related versions for several platforms. The scanning engine used provides excellent detection capability, using neural network and heuristic, and low use of the computer resources. F-PROT Antivirus (for DOS) has the world's first heuristic behavior scanner in 1991.
