About Spotify AB
Spotify is a Swedish music streaming service offering digitally restricted streaming of selected music from a range of major and independent record labels, including Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group and Universal. Music can be browsed by artist, album, record label, genre or playlist as well as by direct searches. On desktop clients, a link allows the listener to purchase selected material via partner retailers. A six month free trial period is activated upon Spotify account registration or first login with a Facebook account, where a user can listen to an unlimited amount of music supported by visual and radio-style advertising. Users can access applications integrated in the Spotify desktop client, written in HTML5. Third party software writers can offer features related to music listening such as live sharing of playlists, music reviews, lyrics, concerts.

Spotify principally operates under a so-called 'freemium' model, which is offering simple and basic services free for the user to try and more advanced or additional features at a premium offer; however this is augmented by income from music purchases within the player. It offers a US$10 per month unlimited subscription, close to the Open Music Model (OMM) estimated economic equilibrium for the recording industry. How to Automatically Uninstall Spotify (with Boost)

  1. If you you do not have Boost installed yet, download Boost and enjoy your PC.

  2. Open Boost by either double-clicking the Boost icon in your notification area next to your PC's clock, or single-clicking the Boost icon and clicking the Open Boost button on the top left of the Boost notification window.

  3. If you are not currently on the My PC screen of the main Boost window, click the My PC tab.

  4. Click the Optimize programs button , this will launch the Program Optimization screen.

  5. Locate the program in the list called Spotify by Spotify AB. (The program could be listed under any of the section such as Uninstall Recommended, Possible Uninstall, etc. based on how well Spotify performs on your PC.)

  6. To the right of the list item, click the Uninstall button and Boost will completely remove Spotify from your PC.

How to Manually Uninstall Spotify (with Windows)

Use Add/Remove Programs control panel in Windows makes to uninstall Spotify. Follow the appropriate instructions below to use this control panel.
Windows 7

  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

  2. In Large or Small icon view, click Programs and Features. If you're using Category view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program.

  3. Select Spotify from the list of programs, and click Uninstall. Alternatively, right-click the program and select Uninstall.

Windows Vista

  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

  2. In Classic View, double-click Programs and Features. In Control Panel Home view, under "Programs", click Uninstall a program.

  3. Select Spotify from the program list, and click Uninstall. Alternatively, right-click the program and select Uninstall.

Windows XP

  1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

  2. Click the Add or Remove Programs icon.

  3. Select Spotify from the list of programs and click Remove.
