You can use the Powercfg.exe tool to control power settings and configure computers to default to Hibernate or Standby modes. The Powercfg.exe tool is installed with Windows.

Powercfg.exe, a utility that was introduced in Windows Server 2003 family. You can use this tool to access the settings from the Power Options tool in Control Panel and to set these settings from a command line (if you are an administrator). Powercfg.exe has additional functionality to extend some settings that are not available in Control Panel. You cannot use this tool to configure all of the settings in the Power Options tool.

Scheduled task - powercfg.exe is launched automatically by registering itself into the Windows Task Scheduler under the task name '\Microsoft\Windows\Power Efficiency Diagnostics\AnalyzeSystem'. Task Scheduler provides the ability to schedule the launch of programs or scripts at pre-defined times or after specified time intervals or even with event-based triggers.
