What is it?
The Driver Helper Service is used in configuring a PC's GPU drivers for video graphics cards. They provide the ability to override OpenGL refresh rates through via Control Panel in the display properties. It also provides functionality to manage the GPU's refresh rates via the built-in refresh forcer utility. It is loaded into the NVIDIA Display Driver Service.
What if I disable NVIDIA Driver Helper Service, Version 296.49?
If you are not actively changing the OpenGL settings of your NVIDIA card, this service can be disabled. Note, when new drivers are installed this service will be set back to automatic.
