This is the service portion of the Apple MobileDeviceHelper iTunes sync. AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe is installed along with the latest version of Apple iTunes and is used to sync your iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPod or iPad with iTunes when you connect your device to your computer.

What if I disable Apple Mobile Device Service?

If you disable this process then when you connect your iOS device to your computer iTunes will not automatically sync to your mobile device without having to open iTunes manualliy. iOS devices require Apple Mobile Device Support, which should be automatically installed with iTunes. You can disable that setting within the iTunes settings, or you can disable iTunesHelper itself.
