How does chrome.exe start?

Shell open command - chrome.exe is typically associtated with identifier name of ftp with and identifier of "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" -- "%1". A Shell Open Command allows for an association of a file extension and a program. This association allows an application to be run when the icon or a context menu item is clicked upon in the Windows Explorer window.
Startup files (user) run - chrome.exe is registered with the run identifier '950355E259155B256433EB3B67B35F46E659C915._service_run' and the execution command '"C:\users\user\appdata\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --type=service' in the Windows registry HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. Run keys are startup registry keys that are used to launch an application automatically when a user logs into Windows.
Scheduled task - chrome.exe is launched automatically by registering itself into the Windows Task Scheduler under the task name '\{1E72E3CB-2BA8-49FD-A05C-007262DB317A}'. Task Scheduler provides the ability to schedule the launch of programs or scripts at pre-defined times or after specified time intervals or even with event-based triggers.
Startup files (user) run once - chrome.exe is registered with the run identifier 'Application Restart #1' and the execution command 'C:\users\user\appdata\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe --flag-switches-begin --flag-switches-end --restore-last-session -- httC://login.yahoo.com/config/reset_cookies_token?.token=rmoHQGE' in the Windows registry HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce. RunOnce keys are used to launch a service or background process whenever a any PC user logs into Windows. Once the application is launched for the first time its entry will be removed from the Registry so it does not run again when a user logins again. Applications here are designed to be used primarily by Setup programs.
