Andrew Newman | Founder, Chief Executive Officer
With nearly 20 years of experience behind him, Andrew is a seasoned developer and entrepreneur in the tech industry. Andrew was the co-founder and chief software architect for GIANT Company Software, acquired by Microsoft Corporation in 2004. GIANT Company was a leader in the anti-spyware and anti-spam industry pioneering many innovations that used machine learning and behavior analysis over distributed networks to rapidly combat malware. This network later became known as SpyNet and still serves as the backbone to Microsoft’s secure computing initiatives. Andrew served as Lead Security Program Manager at Microsoft, and lead in the development and release of Microsoft Anti-Spyware and Windows Defender, now a part of the Windows Operating System. Prior to founding GIANT Company, Andrew served as a software architect at Click Commerce in Chicago where he designed a number of B2B statistical analysis and demand forecasting products for Fortune 100 companies. Andrew also holds a number of patents around distributed computing, data aggregation and information discovery.

Melissa Christie | Vice President of Marketing
Melissa brings more than 15 years of experience in information technology (IT) PR with emphasis in marketing and public relations. She is responsible for developing and implementing the tactical marketing and PR programs for Reason. Melissa has the gift to think outside the box and wears as many hats as needed. Before joining Reason, Melissa was the Northeast Marketing and Events Manager for UnitedHealthcare, the nationally recognized health insurance company based in Minneapolis. Melissa was responsible overseeing product launches, event production of small symposiums and large trade shows alike, development of marketing materials, and managing vendor relationships. She has also held positions with the financial news station CNBC, and anti-spam software pioneer, GIANT Company Software, where Melissa participated in the technical writing of collateral and content and headed up all press related activities.
